Working with the Workforce Productivity app

Workforce Productivity app overview

The Workforce Productivity app provides an analysis in Studio of the data captured for a Task Mining project including:

  • How much time users spend on average using applications defined as ‘productive’ and ‘non-productive’.

  • Which applications are used and for how long.

  • How and when users use the Task Mining Client software and for how long each day, at both individual and aggregate user level. 

You don't need the Task Mining Client software installed to access the Workforce Productivity app.

Note

You need to configure the Workforce Productivity app to ensure that the visualization/representation of the Task Mining data is useful and meaningful for your organization. For more information, see Configuring the Workforce Productivity app.

Accessing the Workforce Productivity app

You access the Workforce Productivity app by selecting:

  • Go to Analysis on the Task Mining project Home page; or

  • Studio in the Celonis navigation bar, searching for 'workforce productivity' in the Studio overview then selecting the app package named after your project.

Description

Executive Summary

Displays an overview of:

  • Working time by Task Mining project team members.

  • Productive time spent by the Task Mining project team.

  • Overall time spent by each Task Mining project team member on different software applications.

Capacity

Displays detailed information about whether Task Mining Project team members are on average working their expected hours at the times expected.

Productivity

Displays how much time Task Mining Project team members spend on average in productive applications and how much of their time is non-productive.

To get accurate productivity data, you need to configure the Workforce Productivity app. For more information, see Configuring the Workforce Productivity app.

Application Usage

Displays which applications and screens Task Mining project team members spend time on, as well as the:

  • Actions users perform frequently.

  • Windows which are used most.

  • Applications Task Mining project team members swap between most frequently.

  • Applications that are most strongly associated with the most idle time during use

To display Application Usage information, you need to classify applications and web pages as productive. For more information, see Application and web page classification options.

Copy & Paste Behavior

Displays information about how often Task Mining project team members copy and paste information from one application or document to another.

User Capturing Data

Displays which Task Mining project team members are using the Task Mining Client software and for how long each day, at both individual and aggregate Task Mining project team level.

Deep Dive

Displays the raw event data the Task Mining Client software is capturing from user machines.

User Validation

Displays information about the daily capture time, productive and non-productive time and idle time for individual Task Mining project team members.

Application Usage By User

Displays the time individual Task Mining project team members spend in different applications.

This tab is hidden by default in the published app.

Settings

Displays and allows modification of:

  • Data view information.

  • User attribute filters.

  • Employee working start and end time and employee cost.

  • Work day expectations.

  • Productive and non-productive applications.
