Scheduling jobs and replication cockpit
As of April 2022, the Inventory Management Connector supports real time extraction. This is enabled via the Replication Cockpit (RC). The relevant use cases are described in this section.
Use Case 1: Replication cockpit in use
In this approach, the extractions are being continuously executed in the Replication Cockpit (by default every 15 minutes), while all transformations are executed by the scheduled Data Job. Additionally the standard extraction process is in use for the non-transactional tables (eg. master data about currency rates).
This requires the following data jobs:
Inventory Management – Daily Load: with extractions and transformations of the non-transactional tables.
Inventory Management – Full Transformation: transformation of the transactional tables (for example once a day).
Use Case 2: Replication cockpit not in use
This is the standard method for Data Extraction and transformation by executing data jobs.In this approach, the process is executed by the following data jobs:
Inventory Management – Daily Load: Extraction and transformation of transactional and non-transactional tables. (Note: Enable the Extract Tables: SAP IM Connector (Delta Without RC).
Inventory Management – Full Extraction: Extraction of all transactional and non-transactional tables used in the transformations.
Inventory Management – Full Transformation: transformation of the transactional tables (for example once a day).
