Effective August 1st 2025, Skills features can no longer be purchased as part of a Celonis Platform license. Celonis continues to maintain Skills (by fixing bugs and ensuring that performance remains strong) but no further feature development will take place.

To continue working with your process improvement and automation use cases, we suggest using our Action Flows, Views, and/or Orchestration Engine features.

The Open Analysis action enables business users to transition directly from a Signal in their Inbox to a specific Celonis analysis or View. This allows for deeper data exploration and root-cause analysis by pre-filtering the target analysis to the specific context of the Signal.

Before you begin

Before configuring this action, ensure you have:

  • The URL of the target analysis (if linking via Apps or a custom link).

  • Permissions to access the specific analysis in the Celonis Platform Studio or Apps.

  • Identified the Signal ID or specific attributes you wish to use for pre-filtering the data.

Configuring the action

To configure the action:

  1. Navigate to the Action configuration section within your Skill setup.

  2. Select Open Analysis from the action type dropdown.

  3. Choose your link method:

    • Custom URL: Enter the link to an analysis or View within Apps. Note that filtering is disabled for direct links to Views.

    • Studio Analysis: Select the desired analysis from the Analysis dropdown menu.

  4. (Optional) Define your Applied Filters:

    • By default, the filter uses the Signal ID to ensure the analysis opens to the specific record.

    • You can enter custom PQL filter statements to further refine the data the user sees upon arrival.

  5. Save the configuration to attach the action to the Signal.
