Installing the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit
The object-centric version of the Accounts Payable Starter Kit works with objects and events created for object-centric process mining. Before you set up the object-centric version of the Accounts Payable Starter Kit, you’ll need to enable and configure the Accounts Payable process, load the object-centric data model with your data, and validate the perspective_celonis_AccountsPayable perspective. You don’t need to download a separate Process Connector for the Starter Kit. See Prerequisites for the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit.
You can download the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit from the Celonis Marketplace. When you link the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit to the perspective_celonis_AccountsPayable perspective, it uses the objects and events that you’ve already built from your source system data and stored in the OCPM Data Pool.
If you’ve used the case-centric version of the Accounts Payable Starter Kit, you’ll notice that the object-centric version doesn’t include the Value Discovery view or the Duplicate Invoices use case. You don’t need to run the Machine Learning Sensor during the Starter Kit setup, and you don’t need to add the INEFFICIENCIES table to the Data Model. To check for duplicate invoices, install the object-centric version of the Accounts Payable Duplicate Invoice Checker app.
Here’s how to install the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit:
Open the Celonis Marketplace from the Celonis navigation bar, and search for all or part of the Starter Kit’s name. You’ll probably see an original case-centric version of the Starter Kit as well as the object-centric version. Only the object-centric version is suitable for object-centric process mining.
Select "Accounts Payable Starter Kit (Object-centric)" to see the Starter Kit's information page.
Select Get it now to install the Starter Kit.
In Celonis, choose a Studio space to install the Starter Kit in. You can use an existing Studio space or create a new one. (You can move the Starter Kit after installation.) Click Confirm to proceed with the installation.
Set the Data Model variable for the Starter Kit to the supplied Accounts Payable perspective perspective_celonis_AccountsPayable. Here’s how to set the Data Model variable:
Find the Accounts Payable Starter Kit (object-centric) in your Studio Space navigation.
Click the three vertical dots (the context menu) by the Starter Kit name, and select Settings from the list.
Select the Variables tab.
Under Variable Type: Data Model, select the Assign Data Model button.
Search or browse for the perspective_celonis_AccountsPayable perspective and click to select it.
Click Save to set the Data Model variable.
While you’re in the package settings, set the currency variable for the Starter Kit. The currency defaults to euros (EUR). To change it, click the three vertical dots (the context menu) on the row for the variable AP_RTV_Currency, and change the value to your selected currency. You'll need Analyst or Admin permissions to change the values of the currency variable.
In the Validation Cockpit, validate that the Starter Kit views are working correctly and displaying your data. The Validation Cockpit guides you to change and validate key parameters that are used to calculate KPIs (key performance indicators). Configuring settings for the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit has the instructions.
Check that the business logic used by the KPIs in the Starter Kit’s Knowledge Model is correct for your business. Validating KPIs for the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit explains how, and lists the most important KPIs to check. You’ll need Analyst permissions for Studio and the Knowledge Model to modify any of the KPIs and their calculations.
If you want to customize the Starter Kit’s views to change their look, fit your business process, or include custom attributes or relationships that you added to the Celonis object types used in the perspective_celonis_AccountsPayable perspective, edit them in Studio. Editing views for the object-centric Accounts Payable Starter Kit explains the process. You’ll need Analyst permissions for Studio and the views to modify them.
When you’re happy with your results, publish a version of the Accounts Payable Starter Kit. There's a Publish Package button at the top of all the screens in your Studio space.
Tip
After publishing the package, if you make any further changes to the Starter Kit’s runtime variables, make sure you set these in both Studio and Apps. Changing the settings in Studio after publishing doesn’t affect the values in Apps.
