Real Time Transformations: Setup Guide
This technical setup guide provides guidance on how to set up Delta Transformations based on your existing transformation statements.
For part 1 and 2, we differentiate between Data Model tables and Activity tables because their set up approach is slightly different:
Data Model tables usually represent one specific source table in the Data Model. The source table is transformed for filtering purposes and sometimes enhanced with additional information from other tables.
Activity Tables contain activities and therefore represent an event log. They combine and transform the data of multiple source tables.
The third part describes how compatibility between Data Jobs and the Replication Cockpit can be ensured. Full Loads and Data Model Loads still need to be executed by Data Jobs. To harmonize with Real Time Transformations, certain measures need to be applied.
