Replication Cockpit
The Replication Cockpit enables continuous, real-time data replication from your SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA systems directly into a Celonis Platform Data Pool.
Instead of relying on traditional, scheduled batch extractions that pull large volumes of data at set intervals, the Replication Cockpit uses a trigger-based push mechanism. This allows your Celonis environment to stream data updates—insertions, modifications, and deletions—the moment they occur in your source system.
Using the Replication Cockpit brings the following key business benefits:
Near real-time insights: Process and analyze your data almost instantly. This eliminates the "data lag" inherent in overnight batch jobs, giving you immediate visibility into process deviations.
Reduced SAP system load: Massive batch queries can strain your source systems. By only capturing and sending incremental changes (deltas) via database triggers, the Replication Cockpit significantly reduces the performance impact on your underlying SAP infrastructure.
Live Automation: Feed continuous data into Celonis Action Flows to trigger real-time alerts, system updates, and automated interventions the exact moment a process bottleneck or compliance issue occurs.
How the Replication Cockpit works
The Replication Cockpit shifts your data pipeline from a traditional "pull" model to a highly efficient "push" model:
SAP real-time extension: A lightweight extension is installed on your SAP system to enable real-time tracking.
Trigger-based logging: Whenever a record is created, updated, or deleted in SAP, a database trigger instantly records this event in a dedicated, low-footprint logging table.
Continuous streaming: The extension continuously reads this logging table and pushes the delta changes securely to the Celonis Platform Data Pool.
Live updating: Celonis processes the incoming stream, dynamically updating your process models, Views, and apps without requiring a scheduled Data Job.
The diagram below explains how the end-to end data pipeline components interact:

Supported systems and requirements
To use the Replication Cockpit, your system must meet the following requirements:
Pipeline compatibility: Pipelines must run on an SAP ECC extractor.
RFC module: Version 2.0.0 or higher.
Extractor: Version 2020-10-19 or higher.
Source system configuration: The real-time extractor must be enabled in the source SAP system.
