Viewing user login history
You can enable and view your user login history within Admin & Settings. Enabling this assumes you are in charge of the legal aspect of saving this data and have obtained the necessary consent from your users according to applicable data privacy laws.
Viewing your login history may be beneficial for the following reasons:
Troubleshooting common access issues: Quickly determine if a user's login failure is due to incorrect credentials, an SSO configuration error, or an expired session.
Enhancing team security: Identify unauthorized access attempts or suspicious login patterns (e.g., unusual login times or unrecognized login types) to protect your data.
Audit and compliance readiness: Easily export login data to CSV to provide internal or external auditors with a clear record of who accessed the platform and when.
Monitoring platform adoption: Gain insights into how frequently your team is utilizing the EMS by tracking successful login trends over time.
Automated data hygiene: Use the automatic deletion settings to ensure your team remains compliant with regional data privacy laws by only retaining history for as long as necessary.
To enable and view your user login history:
Click Admin & Settings - Login History.

Choose from the following options:
Enable or disable history: Toggle the Enable login history switch to start or stop recording login events.
Configure data retention: Select a duration from the Automatically delete login history dropdown (e.g., 90 days or 1 year) to manage how long data is stored. See: Automatically deleting login history.
Download records: Click Export as CSV to generate a local file of all currently stored login attempts for further analysis. See: Exporting to CSV.
Automatically deleting login history
You can periodically delete your login history, with no recovery of data possible.
The following options are available: No deletion, 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, 1 year, 2 years, 10 years.

Exporting to CSV
You can export your login history as a CSV file by clicking Export as CSV.
The CSV file provides the following information:
The user’s email address
The date and time of the login
The event type
Whether the action was successful
The following login types are recorded:
Login SSO: The user logged in with SAML or OIDC SSO.
UI / Login: The user logged in with a username and password via their team login page.
CelonisID: The user logged in with their CelonisID details.
