Connecting to Google Sheets (extractor)

The Celonis Google Sheets extractor lets you bring data stored in individual Google Sheets into the Celonis Platform for process mining and analysis. It supports the following basic features:

This extractor's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy including the Limited Use requirements.

Prerequisites

This section details important prerequisites or prerequisite knowledge for using this extractor.

As part of the Google Sheets extractor configuration, you must provide the URL to the specific Google Sheet you want to extract data from.

Important

You must have direct access to the Google Sheet URL. Using a shared or restricted link that you cannot access will prevent successful authentication.

To establish the connection, you only need to provide the URL of the specific Google Sheet you want to extract data from. After configuring the extractor, a Google authorization window opens where you must grant Celonis Extractor for Google Sheets permission to access the file. Once access is approved, the connection is authenticated using your Google account credentials through OAuth 2.0.

Important

To grant access, in the Google authorization window, select the your account with permission to access the URL, and when prompted for permission, select Allow.
