Using the Gamification App

The Gamification App is designed to make your daily work in Celonis more engaging, rewarding, and—dare we say—fun. Think of it as a personal achievement system for your professional workflows. By completing tasks and staying active in the platform, you’ll earn points, unlock new levels, and see how you stack up against your teammates on the leaderboard.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, this app helps you track your progress and get recognized for the great work you're already doing.

Before you begin using the Gamification App, ensure that it is fully installed and configured

As an admin, you can configure the game using the following:

Before you begin using the Gamification App, ensure that:

  1. Navigate to the App Settings menu.

  2. Define levels: Enter the specific point thresholds required for each of the 10 levels.

  3. Customize branding: Change "Points" to your preferred currency (e.g., "Credits" or "Tokens").

  4. Privacy settings: Select whether to display User IDs, Emails, or Full Names on the leaderboard.

  5. Filter participants: Toggle Include Celonis Employees to "Off" if you want to limit the competition to external users only.

To manage your app participants:

  1. Open the Participants tab.

  2. Add users: Select individuals from the predefined list to enroll them in the program (only enrolled users earn points).

  3. Appoint admins: Toggle the Admin Status to "True" for users who need to approve submissions and receive email notifications.

Follow these steps to build and oversee your challenges:

  1. Go to Challenges Management and click Create New Challenge.

  2. Fill in Details: Enter a Title, Description, and the Point Reward.

  3. Set Schedule:

    • Choose One-time (O) for single tasks.

    • Choose Recurring (R) for habits you want users to repeat.

    • (Optional) Set a Due Date to create urgency.

  4. Review Submissions:

    • Scroll to Review Challenge to see pending items.

    • Use the Personal Chat Box to ask the user for more details if needed.

    • Click Reward to grant points or Reject to send the assignment back to the user.

Follow these steps to track your progress and complete challenges to earn rewards.

  1. Open your Personal Dashboard.

  2. Check your Total Points at the top to see your current standing and level.

  3. View the Points History (bottom left) to see exactly which activities earned you points on a specific date.

  1. Locate the Next Actions / Pending Assignments section.

  2. Click View All to see your full "to-do" list.

  3. Select a challenge to read the specific requirements.

  4. Submit: Once the task is done, enter your response and reasoning in the submission box and click Submit.

    Note

    Your points will not be added until an Admin approves the submission.

  1. Scroll to the Leaderboards section.

  2. Toggle between All-time, Last Week, and Last Month to see your rank across different timeframes.

  3. Look for the Rank Movement indicator to see if you’ve climbed higher since your last login.
