Configuring settings for the object-centric Procurement Starter Kit
Use the object-centric Procurement Starter Kit’s Validation Cockpit to configure the variables that are used in calculations for KPIs (key performance indicators). The values that you set in the Validation Cockpit are used for the Knowledge Model variables in the Procurement Starter Kit’s Knowledge Model.
Tip
After you publish the Starter Kit for the first time, changing the settings in the Validation Cockpit’s Settings view in Studio doesn’t change the corresponding settings in Apps. After publishing, you’ll need to work with the Validation Cockpit in the Apps area in order for the values of the settings to be applied for end users. It’s best to keep the two sets of variable values in sync so that your results in Studio match those in Apps.
Here’s how to work with the Validation Cockpit in Studio:
In the Celonis navigation menu, select Studio.
Find the Procurement Starter Kit (Object-centric) in your Studio space navigation.
Expand the package’s structure using the arrow.
Select the Validation Cockpit.
Work through the validation screens, using the Settings buttons to update the values of any variables that you need to. If you haven’t selected a value, the Starter Kit is using the default value.
Tip
When you’ve finished setup and the Starter Kit is in use by business users, to avoid accidental changes, consider limiting the availability of the Validation Cockpit. You could restrict these to a specific group of business users who are responsible for making adjustments to the variable values.
For the object-centric version of the Procurement Starter Kit, you set the target currency (currencyKey) and the exchange rate type for the currency conversion (exchangeRateType) as local parameters in the transformation for the CurrencyConversion object type. The primary language for the data fields (primaryLanguageKey) is a local parameter in the transformation for each of the object types. Creating custom transformations has instructions to work with the transformations editor.
