Migrating Analysis to Views
You can now migrate your Analysis assets to Studio Views, allowing you to create your dashboards and reports using our enhanced View editing experience. This includes both step-by-step (load scripts, saved formulas, variables, etc.), full sheet, and full Analysis asset migration options.
While we continue to maintain Analysis (by fixing bugs and ensuring that performance remains strong), no further feature development will take place. We therefore recommend you migrate your Analysis assets to Studio Views.
Before migrating your Analysis
This feature is currently available as a Private Preview only
During a Private Preview, only customers who have agreed to our Private Preview usage agreements can access this feature. Additionally, the features documented here are subject to change and / or cancellation, so they may not be available to all users in future.
If you would like to use this feature, create a Support ticket at Celonis Support.
For more information about our Private Preview releases, including the level of Support offered with them, see: Feature release types
Before starting the migration, check whether your Analysis uses Data Model name mappings to support language translations within the Analysis. If it does, you must import the Data Model name mappings into the package translation before starting your migration.
The syntax used in Analyses to reference Data Model name mappings is #{name}. This syntax will be automatically updated during the migration to t(“name“). Once the name mappings have been imported into the package, the translations will be displayed.
Warning
Custom name translations stored locally in an Analysis will not be migrated.
For more information, see Migrating translations from an Analysis to a View.
Step-by-step, full sheet and full Analysis migration
Step-by-step: You can manually migrate individual Analysis assets to Studio Views. Our step-by-step guide explains e.g. how to move load scripts from Analysis to filters in Views, how to copy single or multiple components from Analysis to Views or how to export saved formulas to a Knowledge model. This is especially helpful when you only want to move single parts of your Analysis.
Full sheet: Alternatively, if you want to move the full Analysis over to Views, you can use our full sheet migration wizard. This wizard guides you through the migration of a full sheet (including all components, saved formulas and variables) to a View, saving you from manually exporting each element to the Knowledge Model or View.
Full Analysis (private preview only): You can migrate your full Analysis content and setting to Studio Views with the migration wizard, enabling you to create dashboards and reports using our enhanced View editing experience. The migration wizard transitions Analysis objects and settings into a single View within the same Studio package.
After migrating your Analysis
After migrating your Analysis sheet to a View, you can take advantage of the enhanced View editing experience. These enhancements include a drag and drop canvas, configurable View components, and a selection of filters.
We recommend starting with the following Studio content:
