Before you begin

The Export View as PDF module requires a Reporting Application to connect to the Celonis Platform. This is an OAuth-type of application with a predefined scope, specifically designed for reporting purposes. The application must have USE permissions for the specific View you intend to export.

  1. Go to Admin & Settings > Applications.

  2. Select Add New Application > Reporting application.

  3. Give the applications a name and description and click Save.

  4. In Studio, next to the View you want to export, select Options (three dots) > Permissions.

  5. Search for the newly created reporting application.

  6. Click + Use to give the application the necessary permissions.

Creating Export View as PDF Action Flow:

  1. In Studio, go to your package and start editing an existing Action Flow or start a new one by clicking New asset > Action Flow.

    Note

The list shows only published Views.

  5. Select tabs from your View that you want to include in the PDF.

  6. (optional) Select a bookmark from your View that you want to include in the PDF. Bookmarks allow you to save your user preferences (including filters, selections, and component states) of a View.

You can only select from bookmarks that have been marked as shared. For more information, see Bookmarks.

  7. Define display settings for your PDF file.

  8. Save your changes, publish the Action Flow and activate it.

Once you run the Action Flow, your PDF report is generated in the form of a binary output. You can immediately use that output in other Action Flow modules to, for example, upload it to a cloud storage or send it as an email attachment. To do so, in respective modules, in the file section, make sure you select the output generated by the Export View as PDF module.
